In a time like this, so much attention has been placed on the forced oppression of Black people throughout the Western world. The enslavement of black people and the systematic and legal oppression that followed. These things are important to acknowledge, but in acknowledging them we also have to remember our strength from which we came.
Our strength is rooted in thousands of years of greatness rooted in the African continent. Even in this day and age, with every race condescending upon the black race as a handicapped race that needs their superiority to be able to survive, now more than ever it is important to stand up and make a statement. That I AM NOT A VICTIM.
America was built on the backs of Black Americans, but that building was not just on plantations. As we seek a cure for the Corona Virus through Plasma, remember that it was a black man who discovered plasma in Charles Drew. In the 1950s a black man in Jim Crow America discovered something that 70 years later is being used by the whole world. This is the strength of the Black Man and Woman in this day and age. Remembering that we can be great despite what others “think” about us. We can achieve whatever we want in this system. Check whatever box you want.
